Integral Somatic Psychology™ (ISP™) is an effective somatic psychology approach that helps your clients achieve optimal mental health by fully embodying their emotions.
ISP has been developed to shorten therapy times and improve diverse outcomes (physical, energetic, cognitive, emotional, behavioral, relational, and spiritual) in all therapy modalities including body psychotherapy systems such as Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
It can also be taught to clients as a self-help tool for healing, and for enhancing their lives.
ISP professional trainings and workshops have been offered on all continents; in the US, Brazil, UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Israel, Turkey, Russia, India, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan, and Australia.
Over 2000 mental health professionals have been trained in the ISP method.

I truly enjoyed and am greatful to be a participant in Raja’s ISP™ workshop. I feel this tool takes somatic modalities to the next level by shortcutting to the root of the issues, that being, zooming in on the underlying emotional pain of an issue, without regulating the client too fast, so they learn how to face it more. I was also impressed how it focused on bypassing defense mechanisms, something that other therapies can ignore.
ISP has developed into a rich treasure. In helping clients with difficult emotions such as fear, grief, and pain my work has gained much more containment and depth. And during a severe flu combined with heart symptoms I was able to regulate my anxiety through what I have learned at ISP. I highly recommend ISP to therapists.
The training offered me firsthand experience of a reorganizing, capacity-building impact on my own nervous system. Learning ISP from Raja has been life-changing.
As an SE Practitioner, I appreciate how Raja’s approach has given me a very concrete and easily accessible way to manage difficult or overwhelming emotional and physical states with my clients. I use ISP in every single session, with or without SE. My clients love the simple effectiveness of the tools both in the sessions and at home.
ISP brings together a broad and expanded understanding of trauma, emotions, and transformation. Through this training, I have become both professionally and personally more resilient, resonant. With deeper capacity, I am better able to move toward wholeness and coherence. I am able to take clients to greater depth and capacity in a way that is both moving and liberating.
Having been interested in affect theory for many years, I found Raja’s approach spot on in terms of redirecting attention to affect (rather than sensation) and connecting it to the whole body. This helped me understand why I was sometimes frustrated with SE™. On a personal level, I found the “hands-on” experience very valuable and meaningful, both as a patient and as a therapist.
ISP was a very helpful addition to my training in Somatic Experiencing. The emphasis on the bodily experience of emotions and how to work with them—recognize, experience deeply, and manage/regulate—was invaluable for my professional and personal growth.
